Our Cotswold wool

The BB knitwear will be launching in the new year and is a very exciting launch for both BB and our founder Emily. Honing in and taking inspiration from her roots this collection is a homage towards the sometimes forgotten beautiful Cotswold wool.

‘Growing up on a farm you see the lifecycle of animals and get to explore and experience the great outdoors everyday, I have always been fascinated by natural material and thought how stunning and delicate wool was, the range of colours and texture of the fibre of Cotswold wool is beautiful and I have always wanted the opportunity to use this fabric in a collection’ - Emily. It has been a long time in the making but we are finally getting their and we can’t wait for you to experience these pieces. 

Over the weekend we went to collect our wool from a nearby farm, whilst we were there Angela, the farmer, showed us her flock and where our wool came from, making our way around the sheep from the shearling to the ewes.

Our mission for this collection is to showcase this beautiful fabric, and really educate our customers on where exactly their jumper or vest came from, showing the process from the sheep to the mill and the artisans who knitted it. We will be producing both sweater vests and jumpers in the upcoming launch, in our BB colours, ranging from cream to deep brown.
