At BB we love exploring and experimenting with a range of different fabrics both new and old, the latest is chainmail. This interesting fabric is thought to have Celtic roots, due to it’s easy to make, via clasps at the back, and incredible flexible this fabric was then adopted by the Romans and predominantly used in armour due to it’s protection with difficultly to penetrate through.
Nowadays chainmail comes in a range of colours, weight and strength and can be seen across accessories and clothing, including bags, tops and dresses! At BB we have been exploring the use of chainmail in a range of accessories focusing on a simple small bag design and elegant handle. What do you think?
