Believe Me, It Will All Work Out!

Believe Me, It Will All Work Out! | Beatrice Bayliss

Sometimes, you just have to keep going, even when you can't quite see where you're heading.

A year ago, Beatrice Bayliss looked very different. I was collecting wool in the back of my car, working with much smaller quantities and trying to figure out how to turn an idea into something real. There were plenty of moments of uncertainty, but I kept going, trusting that the hard work would eventually lead somewhere.

Fast forward a year and I'm standing inside a mill surrounded by tonnes of wool, with our supply having increased by 500%. It feels like a huge step forward and a reminder of just how much can change when you keep showing up and believing in what you're building.

I think the same can be said for life outside of work. We put so much pressure on ourselves to know exactly where we're going, when sometimes the best thing we can do is simply start. Try something new, pick up a new hobby, learn a skill or make something with your hands.

For me, knitting is a perfect example. There's no need to rush the process. You make one stitch, then another, and slowly something begins to take shape. Mistakes can be undone, patterns can change and you can always start again. So, if you're in a season where things feel uncertain, keep going. You don't need to know exactly how it will all work out.

A lot can change in a year, and sometimes the only thing you need to do is take the next step.
